Slick+
Slick+ is a SaaS platform that enables organizations to capture and share in-house knowledge and expertise through short-form video content. The platform addresses the challenge of preserving and transferring tacit knowledge—the experience-based insights employees develop through their work—especially in hybrid and remote environments. Founded in December 2022 by Linda Hegarty and Paul Conneally, the Sligo-based company helps bridge the gap between remote and in-office staff, creating a dynamic ecosystem of learning and collaboration

Key supports received during start-up process & the role WestBIC played
WestBIC played an important role in preparing financial projections to secure Enterprise Ireland High Potential Startup (HPSU) funding of €250,000, which was matched by an additional €350,000 from Growing Capital VC.
We received other support from various organizations including:
● Local Enterprise Office (LEO) Sligo - Feasibility and Priming grants
● New Frontiers ATU Sligo – Donegal programme
● Enterprise Ireland Innovation Voucher
● Data2Sustain collaboration
● AIM Centre in Sligo - remote working and networking
● Platform 94 in Galway - scaling community participation

Words of advice for new start-ups
● Map out and leverage available hard and soft supports to create ‘scaffolding’ for your journey in the early stages.
● It’s really hard if you’re doing it alone—try to embed yourself in regional innovation ecosystems for diverse perspectives and support.
● Accept that entrepreneurship is a rollercoaster - but you can do it if you just persevere and keep going!
Future Plans
● Targeting mature markets in the EU, UK, and US, with plans to expand to North America by 2026.
● Developing Slick+AI, our next-generation platform that integrates tacit knowledge with explicit knowledge through advanced AI capabilities including content redaction, sentiment analysis, and multilingual transcription.
● Projecting revenue growth from €420,000 in 2025 to €3 million by 2027.
● Expanding our team from 8 to 19 professionals, focusing on AI development, customer success, and international sales.
● Our R&D is focused on hyper-personalized knowledge sharing and creating a system that autonomously organizes explicit resources into task-specific micro-learning modules.
● Building on early success with clients like WHO and ITU to establish Slick+ as the global benchmark for workplace learning.
