New Frontiers offers a streamlined start-up process for innovators eyeing expansive markets. Supported by Enterprise Ireland, it stands as Ireland’s premier entrepreneurship development initiative, operated in the West of Ireland by Atlantic Technological University (ATU) Innovation Hubs. Participants have the flexibility to work from their own office, start-up hub, or even from home, in addition to accessing the ATU Innovation Hubs.

HOW THE PROGRAM WORKS:
New Frontiers operates in three phases, furnishing participants with a holistic suite of business development resources.

PHASE 1: IDEA TESTING
Spanning 8–10 weeks on a part-time basis, Phase 1 aids in validating your business idea’s market potential. Through weekend and evening workshops, you’ll assess the viability of your concept, enhancing your chances for Phase 2.

PHASE 2: BUSINESS PLANNING
Successful applicants, chosen through a competitive process, embark on Phase 2. Over six months, you’ll receive intensive support to refine your skills and business proposition, committing full-time to business development. With up to €15,000 tax-free allowance, you’ll delve into detailed business planning, customer identification, sales channel exploration, and funding avenues.

PHASE 3: BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT
Graduating from Phase 2 leads to tailored government support and further incubation opportunities. Participants may receive additional support for a limited period, alongside introductions to government and private investment prospects.

Past alumni's of the program, like Catherine Devine of Pumpskynz, have achieved significant success. Pumpskynz offers protective covers for diabetic devices in a variety of appealing colors. Catherine credits the New Frontiers program with providing timely strategic insights to expand her customer base internationally.
