Blue Shuttle will accelerate the digitalisation of the blue bioeconomy sector through a Blue Innovation Network based on a QH approach. The focus will be on a broad innovation strategy to facilitate the adoption of digital solutions by the Blue Bioeconomy sector to stimulate more efficient and sustainable processes, as well as creative and viable solutions to foster competitiveness and resilience. Specifically, the target sectors will be Marine living resources and Blue biotechnology.

The main focus is on Marine living resources and Blue biotechnology. The project will be developed in three stages:

  1. Discovery: find out who's involved, gather good practices, and create a network for innovation.
  2. Analysis: figure out what technology and skills the blue sector needs to provide specific help and training. They'll also create a digital platform to make this analysis and development easier.
  3. Development: boost innovation by running programs where everyone can contribute ideas and try out new projects to see what works best.

The outcomes will be integrated into existing tourism strategies and offers on natural and cultural heritage. These will enable the enterprises to develop their own green business models. Green business can grow economically and reduce use of resources.  Regions will enhance their overall tourism offer and this is disseminated across the NPA.
