What is the Pre-Seed Start Fund (PSSF) and how do I apply?
The Pre-Seed Start Fund (PSSF) is Enterprise Ireland funding for early-stage entrepreneurs developing an innovative product or service. WestBIC supports founders through the full PSSF application process with dedicated one-to-one advice and hands-on guidance at each stage.
What support does WestBIC offer for early-stage founders?
For founders at the earliest stages, we provide hands-on guidance through Enterprise Ireland funding programmes including the Pre-Seed Start Fund (PSSF). We work with you one-to-one throughout the application process, from your first conversation right through to submission. You do not need a registered company or prior experience of Enterprise Ireland to get started, just an innovative idea and the ambition to build something.
What support does WestBIC offer for scaling companies?
For companies further along the growth curve and beginning to think about raising private investment, WestBIC helps you understand the funding landscape and prepare for what is ahead. We connect you with relevant investor networks, events, and expertise, and work with you to ensure you are ready to make the most of the opportunities available as you scale.
What does it cost to work with WestBIC?
There is no cost to working with WestBIC. Our support, advice, and programme guidance are provided to eligible founders and companies in our region. We do not take equity or charge fees.
How is WestBIC different from an accelerator or incubator?
We work with founders on an ongoing, one-to-one basis. We are also not commercially motivated and we do not take equity or charge for our support. As an EU Business Innovation Centre and delivery partner for Enterprise Ireland, our focus is on connecting founders with the funding, networks, and expertise that will make the biggest difference for their business.
