Innovative Tuam business - CPS, expands globally

WESTBIC client, CPS - the Irish Based Materials Handling & Automation Company and Global supplier to a number of Blue chip multinational companies, is spreading its wings and setting up operations in the US and UK. CPS are confident that they can duplicate the innovation and expertise abroad that they have in Ireland which has made them the preferred supplier to an ever increasing client list.

The US development comes about as the result of an acquisition of an existing corporation that is strategically located and offers an immediate introduction into a vibrant and growing market. The acquired company comes fully equipped and with an impressive client base. The UK venture will be a new set-up and will be run by a newly appointed Manager who has 30 years experience in the Automation Industry, including a role as MD for the past 10 years.

According to the MD at CPS; “the tried and tested formula is to give the client the best solution and to do this CPS are totally self contained which allows us to handle any eventuality, from design to installation everything is handled in house. We pride ourselves on the quality of our ‘TEAM’. We have a design office for mechanical and electrical design, full machine shop with modern machinery, Fabrication, Assembly, Electrical build, Systems Design, Programming as well as Documentation & Training.”

CPS integrate the most up to date technologies including Robotics, Lasers, Control & Safety Systems into the special purpose solutions / equipment that is part of the CPS portfolio. There is a strong emphasis on R&D in the company with an exciting range of equipment coming on stream in the next 3 years. Markets being served presently include Pharmaceutical, Healthcare, Medical Devices, Cosmetic, Opthalmic, Food & Dairy and Electronics. As well as the expansion abroad the company is currently doubling the size of its Tuam-based facility. Planning has been lodged to expand facilities by a further 52,000 sq. feet in the next 18 months.
