Guides now available to assist enterprise with integrated management systems through QUALITY-SME project
By James Donlon, July 28, 2005

Through the Interreg IIIB Quality-SME Programme, comprehensive guides are now available to assist companies who wish to increase their knowledge towards implementing integrated management systems, including quality management (ISO 9000), environmental quality (ISO 14000) and occupational health and safety (OHSAS 18000). These guides are available in hard-copy format from WESTBIC as well as being available to download on-line from the project website at www.quality-sme.com.
The website also contains useful information on training resources in each participating region (Ireland, Portugal and Spain) to assist with quality accreditation, as well as having an interactive forum where registered members can participate and contribute to the on-line help-desk facility.
Later in the year, it is envisaged that specific training will be undertaken with selected enterprises in the context of the programme. Interested enterprises should contact the Programme Manager for WESTBIC at jdonlon@westbic.ie to discuss their needs.
