Donegal and Northern Ireland construction supply companies exhibit at Belfast Show

Six construction supply companies from the North West exhibited at the Self-Build Show in Belfast at the weekend. These companies are members of BUILD UP which is a cross border network of twenty innovative and quality businesses from Donegal, Tyrone and Derry which provide products and services to the construction industry. The six companies exhibiting at the show in Belfast were: Ballymoon Slate (Recycled and recyclable slates), Urlar (Decorative Wooden Flooring and Inlays), Cater Waste (Waste Management), Copper Industries (Hot Water Cylinders), Wedgies (Levellers) and Morgan/Quinn Architects (Innovative and Environmental Design).

BUILD UP companies supply innovative products ranging from water proofing material for shower trays, Bangor Blue roofing slates, cabling systems for entertainment, marquetary for wooden floors to concrete waterproofing products, copper cylinders, grease traps and geothermal heating systems. In addition there are also a number of quality traditional suppliers such as PVC and aluminium windows, concrete, architects and netting suppliers.

Eunan Cunningham, WESTBIC, the promoters of BUILD UP in partnership with NORIBIC further explained ‘The Self-Build show was suitable for six selected companies from our total group of 20 companies from Donegal and Northern Ireland. Over the three days, these companies received many enquires about their products and are busy following up on their leads. Having exhibited at Plan Expo in Dublin last November, with very positive results for the companies, we plan to do the same this November in an effort find new markets and create additional jobs in these businesses”
