Continuous Improvement the key to success

By Joan Fahey, October 24, 2008

Donegal companies were advised by award winning entrepreneur David Henderson of Tobermore Concrete to continuously improve their processes at a seminar in the City Hotel Derry recently. The event was the final event of the KNOW (Knowledge North West) programme run by WESTBIC (The Business and Innovation Centre for the Border, Midland and Western Region) in Donegal and Workspace in Draperstown and funded by the Peace 2 programme administered through Co-operation Ireland. At this event companies networked together from both sides of the border having undergone a one year training and mentoring programme which had the objective of improving their levels of cross border trade. Mr Henderson advised companies that they could continuously improve by listening to their customers and by involving their workforce and staff in the new projects and developments. Tobermore has won numerous high profile and prestigious awards including The Queen's Award for International Trade, major marketing awards, UK Business Excellence Award, and Company of the Year Award.
