Advanced Enterprise Training provided through HP and WESTBIC Micro Enterprise Acceleration Programme
By James Donlon, August 12, 2005

Following the completion of a comprehensive needs analysis through focus group research, WESTBIC have recently launched an intensive entrepreneurial training programme based at the new high-spec training facility at Galway Technology Centre. This is part of the roll-out phase of the HP WESTBIC Micro-enterprise Acceleration Programme aimed at up-skilling high-potential entrepreneurs through IT.
Places on the programme are fully subscribed for the first phase of entrepreneurial modules being run from June – October. This will be followed by an IT training programme which will be designed and delivered by HP contracted consultants, Making Cents, Washington DC. The consultants recently completed the training needs analysis which included participants from entrepreneurs, trainers and enterprise support organisations including BMW Assembly, County Enterprise Boards, individual trainers and other intermediaries.
It is envisaged that the IT training programme will commence in early 2006 following completion of the current enterpreneurship modules.
